On 27–28 October 2026, Georgia will host the second annual Tbilisi Finance Summit, bringing together central banks, financial institutions, fintech leaders, international companies and investors.

Under the theme "Building Regional Economic Corridors at the Intersection of Policy, Finance and Technology," the summit will explore cross-border finance, open banking, AI and the digital infrastructure shaping the Middle Corridor.

More than a financial event

For Georgia, this is an opportunity to strengthen its position as a regional platform connecting capital, technology and international markets.

The framing is worth noting. Middle Corridor discussions usually centre on physical infrastructure — ports, railways, roads, permits. But cargo does not move without the finance that underwrites it: trade finance, cross-border payments, currency risk, settlement.

A corridor is a financial system as much as a physical one.

The country that hosts the conversation about that financial layer has a claim on more than transit revenue.

Why it belongs on a cross-border calendar

For companies operating between Georgia and Uzbekistan, cross-border payments and trade finance are practical daily problems, not conference abstractions. An event that puts central banks, regulators and fintech builders in the same room is one of the few places those problems reach the people who can change them.

The timing also places it shortly after Tashkent's Silk Road Finance & Technology Forum in August — two regional financial events in one year, at either end of the corridor.
